CPC View Prepaid Account Licensing Instructions

• Internet Explorer:
  If you are using Internet Explorer (as well as certain versions of AOL), you can automatically install the viewer by clicking here.

• Netscape, Mozilla, Opera, and other web browsers:
  If you are using Netscape, Mozilla, Opera or any other browser that supports browser plug-ins, you can install the viewer by clicking here.

The remaining steps in the licensing procedure depend on whether or not the machine to be licensed has Internet access.

Machines With Internet Access

To license CPC View on a machine with full Internet access, follow these simple steps:

1. Goto the online registration page by visiting http://www.cartesianinc.com/Register/.

2. Press the Account license button at the online registration page. You will be taken to the Account and Site License Registration page.

3. Fill in the provided form with your account ID and passkey and click on the Register button.

Your copy of CPC View should now be licensed. Should you have any problems, please contact the local account contact for your site or organization or contact Cartesian Products at support@cartesianinc.com.

Machines Without Internet Access

To license CPC View on machines without full Internet access (such as machines on an intranet), follow these simple steps:

Please note that you will need access to at least one machine that does have Internet access. It need not be one of the machines that you want to register, however.

1. On each machine that you want to register, determine the "machine identifier" as follows:
   1. Run the viewer by opening any TIFF, CALS, CPC or other suitable image file from within your web browser. For example, you can run CPC View by clicking here.
   2. Click the right mouse button anywhere within the CPC image window. This will cause the CPC right mouse menu to appear.
   3. Select About CPC View... or About CPC Lite... from the right mouse menu. This will cause the About CPC window to appear.
   4. There is a small picture of a key at the very bottom of the About CPC window. Next to the key is a number. The number is your CPC machine identifier. (For your convenience, you can copy the machine identifier to the Windows clipboard by clicking on it with the left mouse button.)

2. On the Web-connected machine, go to the offline registration form at http://www.cartesianinc.com/Offline/ and fill out the form with your account ID, passkey, and the machine identifiers that you determined in step 1. Then, click on the Register button.

3. You will be provided a table giving a "registration key" for each of the machines along with instructions for entering them on the machines. Print this out.

4. Go to each machine and enter the registration key as follows:
   1. Run the viewer by opening any TIFF, CALS, CPC or other suitable image file from within your web browser. For example, you can run CPC View by clicking here.
   2. Click the right mouse button anywhere within the CPC image window. This will cause the CPC right mouse menu to appear.
   3. Select Enter registration key from the right mouse menu. This will cause the registration key window to appear.
   4. Enter the registration key in the space provided in the window and click the OK button.
