To install CoPyCat for HP PA-RISC, follow these simple instructions:
Step 1. Install Acrobat Reader |
CoPyCat works in conjunction with Acrobat Reader
freely available from Adobe.
To use CoPyCat, you must have Version 3 or later of Acrobat Reader installed on your
computer. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed, you can install it by clicking on the link below:
The Acrobat Reader plug-in, nppdf.so, is distributed
in the Browsers sub-directory of the Acrobat Reader
installation directory. If your web browser does not yet have the
Acrobat Reader plug-in installed, copy the Acrobat Reader plug-in to
the user plug-ins directory (~/.netscape/plugins).
Step 2. Download CoPyCat for HP PA-RISC. |
The latest version of CoPyCat for HP PA-RISC, V1.0.3, was released on 1/12/98.
The size of the
download is approximately 221K bytes. To download CoPyCat for HP PA-RISC, click the
link below:
Step 3. Install CoPyCat into your web browser. |
- Close all of your web browser windows.
- Make the downloaded file (CoPyCat-10a-hp.so) executable:
chmod +x CoPyCat-10a-hp.so
- Create the user plugins directory (~/.netscape/plugins) if it does not exist:
mkdir ~/.netscape/plugins
- Move the downloaded file to the user plug-ins directory:
mv CoPyCat-10a-hp.so ~/.netscape/plugins
- Delete the file ~/.netscape/plugin-list if it exists:
rm ~/.netscape/plugin-list
- Restart your web browser.
That's it. The CoPyCat plug-in should now be installed.
If you are running Netscape, you can check
that the plugins are installed correctly using Netscape's "Help/About Plug-Ins" command. This should
display a page with entries for both the CoPyCat and the
Acrobat Reader
plug-ins.
